Hydroseeded slope, Vancouver Island

Our Story

Roots since 1990

Raincoast Erosion Control was founded in 1996 and grew by acquisition. Every company in the group arrived already built — with its own name, its own crews, and its own customers.

The group does not open branches. It brings in companies that already work, and leaves alone what made them work. The Irrigators had been running irrigation across the Interior since 1990. BPL had been hydroseeding the Shuswap since the early nineties. TnT came in from the Comox Valley in 2025. Each kept its name, its trade, and its territory.

What each gained was the other half: estimating, scheduling, an equipment fleet, and a head office accountable for how work gets delivered. That is the strength of the structure — the reach of a much larger operation without giving up the local relationships the company was built on. It is also how the group keeps growing.
